Corrections Policy
Benefit information changes, estimates get superseded, and errors must be handled visibly.
What counts as a correction
A wrong source value, broken formula, incorrect payment date, misleading status label, or material wording error requires a correction. A clearly labeled estimate that is later replaced by new official data is an update, provided the original assumption was stated accurately.
How we respond
- Verify the issue against the primary source.
- Correct the underlying structured data or calculation.
- Update the verification date.
- Add a visible note when the error materially affected user results.
Priority
Errors that could change a user's expected benefit or payment date receive the highest priority. Cosmetic and non-material wording issues are handled in the next normal update.
Report an issue
During the initial release, corrections are handled through the site owner's published contact channel once that channel is added. Until then, confirm your individual information directly with SSA or your my Social Security account.
